Schubertiade Hohenems 2017:
Cast and programme change

Thursday, October 5, 4 p.m., Markus Sittikus Hall, Piano recital

Due to pain in his right hand, Till Fellner is unable to play solo recitals at the moment and was therefore forced to cancel his Schubertiade appearance. We are happy that William Youn, who is also scheduled to perform in a trio concert with Sabine Meyer and Nils Mönkemeyer on the following day, can replace Mr. Fellner and present the following all-Schubert programme:

Franz Schubert
Sonata in B-flat, D 960
Impromptu in A-flat, D 935/2
Impromptu in B-flat, D 935/3
Fantasy in C, D 760 »Wandererfantasie«

Schubert figures prominently in the repertoire of the South Korean pianist, who will soon begin with cyclic performances of all Schubert sonatas.

Tickets already purchased may be exchanged or returned prior to the concert.

The Schubertiade in Schwarzenberg and Hohenems is considered the most important and distinguished Schubert festival in the world, presenting about 80 events and registering an average of 35.000 visitors per annum. No other festival is able to offer so many outstanding song recitals in such a short period of time, while also focussing on chamber concerts and piano recitals. Orchestra concerts, lectures, exhibitions and master classes given by the best singers and instrumentalists of our time add to the programme’s versatility.
