Dear Madam or Sir

Today, the Austrian government has announced new regulations in the course of the further containment of the Corona pandemic. To our greatest regret, these new rules entail that this year‘s Schubertiade Schwarzenberg concerts in August cannot take place. Despite the fact that, from August 1 on, public events with up to 500 participants will be permitted, the minimum distance of one meter ordered by the authorities would allow for less than one fourth of the audience in the Angelika Kauffmann Hall, which normally seats 600. Under these circumstances, the concerts, which are sold-out for the most part, can impossibly be held. The cancellation of both of this year's Schubertiade Schwarzenberg festival periods is a huge disappointment and constitutes an unprecedented financial strain.

The lieder recitals with young singers at the Markus Sittikus Hall in Hohenems on July 17 through 19, which were announced in February, will take place. Since the Corona measures abruptly stopped the demand for tickets shortly after the brochure was sent out, the current ticket holders can be placed in the hall according to the new regulations. (A few tickets are still available for these lieder recitals.)

The chamber music programme with Kian Soltani and Aaron Pilsan on July 16 will receive an additional performance on the day before (July 15, 8 p.m.) in order to meet the minimum distance requirements between audience/household members.

The value of tickets to cancelled concerts already purchased will be turned into a credit for your next ticket order. You will receive the credit certificate in the course of the coming weeks. If you wish to turn a part or the full value of your tickets into a donation, please contact us.

With kind regards, best wishes for your health and in the hope of seeing you again soon
