Dear Madam or Sir

Regarding the Schubertiade concert series October 1 through 7, the financial situation had already been very tense due to the required minimum disctance between the concert goers. After Germany has declared our federal state Vorarlberg a region at risk and issued a travel warning, we would lose at least half of our audience. This makes it impossible to let the concerts take place and, to our utmost regret, forces us to also cancel this year's last Schubertiade period.

The value of tickets already purchased will automatically be turned into a credit for your next ticket order. You will receive the credit confirmation in the course of next week. If you should consider to donate a part or the full amount of the ticket value, please be in touch with the ticket office.

Our museums in Hohenems (Franz Schubert Museum, Schubertiade Museum, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf Museum, Legge Museum mit Stefan Zweig Raum, Nibelungen Museum und Schuhmacher Museum) can currently be visited by individuals or groups on appointment (to be made one week day in advance of the preferred date of your visit).

This cancellation is very painful for us since we had hoped to be able to celebrate at least the end of our Schubertiade season witth some optimism, together with the audience and artists. All evening programmes had been prepared, all tickets sent out, and our guests were full of anticipation in view of the upcoming musical encounters. We are now hoping for and looking forward to a reunion in good health in spring.

With best wishes and kind regards

Gerd Nachbauer
(Director of the Schubert GmbH)
