After the recent birth of her second child in mid-June, Brenda Rae still feels unable to perform and therefore, much to her regret, had to cancel her upcoming lieder recital at the Schubertiade Schwarzenberg.

We would like to thank Tara Erraught, who has agreed to step in for Mrs. Rae and, together with Jörg Widmann (clarinet) and Malcolm Martineau (piano), sing the below-stated programme. The young Irish mezzo-soprano, who regularly works with Brigitte Fassbaender, made her acclaimed Schubertiade debut in 2017 and is very successful as a lieder singer all over Europe.

Hugo Wolf: Er ist's, Das verlassene Mägdlein, Begegnung, Verborgenheit, Nixe Binsefuß
Franz Schubert: Schäfers Klagelied, Gretchen am Spinnrade, Nacht und Träume, Die junge Nonne; Der Hirt auf dem Felsen (for soprano, clarinet and piano)
Gustav Mahler: »Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen«
Johannes Brahms: »Zigeunerlieder«, op. 103

Tickets already purchased remain valid or may be exchanged or returned prior to the concert.
