»Der Markus-Sittikus-Saal, 1913 als Turn- und Mehrzweckhalle eröffnet, später von der Schubertiade renoviert, ist legendär. Nur 300 Plätze. Der Klang hat trotzdem Luft und Trennschärfe, trifft direkt in Hirn, Herz und Bauch. Eine bessere Akustik für Kammerkonzerte ist nicht vorstellbar.«
