Exhibitions at the Angelika Kauffmann Hall
Max Ackermann – Musik im Bild
Sales exhibition of works by Max Ackermann in the foyer at the Angelika Kauffmann Hall.
Accompanying the Schubertiade, the Bode Gallery presents a sales exhibition of paintings and original art designs by Max Ackermann (1887-1975). Max Ackermann ranks among the most important pioneers of Modernism in Germany, who strove for the ideal of the »Gesamtkunntwerk« (a work of art claiming to be universal in incorporating several art forms) and was influenced by dance, music and architecture – however, music became his main source of inspiration. The exhibition traces the workings of Ackermann, who in the 1930's and 1940's lived at Lake Constance, along the lines of important paintings dating from 1940 through 1975.

Peter Mathis Photography
Sales exhibition at the Angelika Kauffmann Hall (entrance under the terrace roof)
»In nature, you don't always find what you were looking for...«
Peter Mathis has a special eye for landscapes and their beauty. His love for the big and small things becomes manifest, and he invites observers to look at a picture from different perspectives. Regardless of their contents, his works convey a certain kind of order. In the coexistence of delicate lines and voluminous matter a sense of balance is to be found. Be open to this exchange and allow the pictures to cast their spell on you!
