Elisabeth Schwarzkopf Museum, Hohenems
Villa Rosenthal, Schweizer Straße 1
Elisabeth Schwarzkopf ranks among the most important singers of the 20th century. Luckily, her extraordinary career as an opera and concert performer is well documented through a great number of recordings, which set standards until the present day. The Schubertiade GmbH, whose offices are located at the Villa Rosenthal, owns major parts of the personal estate of the soprano and her husband Walter Legge. The current exhibition, which was curated in the spring of 2019, retraces Elisabeth Schwarzkopf's life and career by means of a complete performance chronicle.
